Brella Productions

Established: 1992 Business Type: Professional Services and Technology Known For: Staying on top of the latest production trends and technologies, the Brella team creates a smooth low-stress production experience that delights and engages your audience.

Brella first moved into Evanston in 1994 to become one of the early members of the Technology Incubator. During its years in there, it was able to be a vibrant part of Evanston’s burgeoning technology community. When it came time for more space, Brella chose Evanston as its headquarters due to the unique community it found here. As part of that community, Brella’s ownership team has put down deep roots. Over the years Brella’s has had team members on Evanston Chamber of Commerce Board, Rotary Board, Evanston Community Television Board and other not-for-profits. Keeping community front of mind, Brella’s has long believed that business should tread lightly from an environmental standpoint encouraging reuse and recycling from the onset. In fact, Brella’s HQ was one of Evanston’s earliest solar buildings. In 2012 Brella chose to buy its building at 1601 Simpson to solidify its commitment to the 5th Ward and Evanston. Besides believing that “buy local” is a privilege and opportunity to meet and network with other local business owners, Brella has always been open to supporting various community endeavors by lending expertise and support. While Brella is now a mostly remote organization with team members spread across the country, it still maintains an active presence in the 5th ward and loves to recruit more employees to come enjoy the beauty that is Evanston.
