MSI Wellness Center

Established: 1996 Business Type: Health & Wellness Known For: Free group guided meditation for peace, mindfulness, and relaxation

MSI Wellness Center was founded in Evanston nearly 30 years ago by Billie Topa Taté, Native American author, teacher, and member of the Mescalero Apache community. As a woman-owned, Indigenous-founded business, MSI was created with a simple mission: “Creating a Sacred Space One Person at a Time.”

For nearly three decades, MSI has served the Evanston and North Shore community through meditation, mindfulness, natural wellness education, Reiki, stress-management practices, private appointments, workshops, and community programs. Billie’s work is deeply influenced by Native American wisdom, respect for the natural world, and the belief that wellness includes the mind, body, spirit, and our relationship with the Earth.

MSI welcomes people from all backgrounds who are seeking greater peace, spiritual growth, self-awareness, and practical ways to navigate stress and life transitions. Through individual sessions, classes, nature-based practices, free community offerings, and wellness education, MSI provides a supportive space for personal reflection, learning, and healing.

As an established Evanston business, MSI remains committed to serving the community with compassion, cultural respect, and a holistic approach to well-being. After more than 28 years, our guiding vision remains the same: Creating a Sacred Space One Person at a Time.
